Walsh occupies a small clearing in the vast wetlands of the Upper Peninsula, situated along M 28 where the Walsh Grade road once carried heavy timber traffic. The landscape is defined by an intricate network of slow-moving water and saturated lowlands, including the expansive Creighton Marsh and the wandering paths of the Driggs River and Creighton River.
