About this map

Cibola National Forest encompasses much of this high-desert landscape in Socorro County, where the northern reaches of the Magdalena Mountains meet the surrounding basins. The terrain is defined by a series of deep drainages, including the prominent Water Canyon, South Canyon, and Sixmile Canyon, all carved into the western slopes. A network of secondary roads and trails, such as Grant Rd and the South Canyon Trl, provides access to these remote reaches.
