Growler Valley occupies the central expanse of this Pima County landscape, a broad desert basin defined by the drainage patterns of Growler Wash. To the northeast, the terrain rises sharply into the Growler Mountains, where the elevation contours tighten to reveal the steep slopes and ridges characteristic of this desert range. A separate topographical prominence, Sheep Peak, anchors the southeastern corner of the quadrangle, standing as a distinct landmark against the surrounding lowlands.
