The Little Red River meanders across this landscape, defining the character of the riverine lowlands between West Point and Enright. The topography is dominated by a complex network of wetlands and seasonal water bodies, including Crooked Slough, Cutoff Slough, and Taylor Slough. Small elevations rise abruptly from the bottomlands, such as Hogpen Ridge and Lost Hill, which provided stable ground for early roads and small rural settlements like Andrews and Pryor.
