Wheeler Peak and the high ridges of the Snake Range dominate this 2014 survey of White Pine County. The landscape is a complex overlap of protected lands, spanning the boundary between Great Basin National Park and Humboldt National Forest. High-altitude glacial features are prominent, with Baker Lake, Treasure Lake, and Johnson Lake situated in deep cirques beneath peaks exceeding 11,000 and 12,000 feet, including Jeff Davis Peak and Pyramid Peak.
