The seasonal waterways of Meade County define this expanse of the western South Dakota plains. The drainage systems of Middle Fork Cr, W Tepee Cr, and E Tepee Cr converge and meander across the landscape, illustrating the complex natural irrigation of the region. These creeks eventually feed into Tepee Cr and Timber Cr, which dominate the eastern and southern portions of the quadrangle. While the land is primarily characterized by its hydrography, a sparse network of rural routes provides access for local ranching and land management. Significant local thoroughfares like Co Hwy Mc-26 and Avance Rd cut through the sections, while smaller residential or access roads such as Upsala Pl and Torchlight Pl provide specific access points to the interior of the prairie.
