Big Jacks Creek Wilderness dominates the northwestern portion of this Owyhee County landscape, preserving a primitive environment defined by the deeply incised drainages of the Big Jacks Creek Wild and Scenic River. To the south and east, the high plateau is marked by Big Hill and the winding course of the Wickahoney Creek Wild and Scenic River. The map focuses on a remote high-desert crossing point, Wickahoney Crossing, where the terrain transitions into the upper reaches of the Sugar Creek drainage. The sparse network of unpaved routes, including Battle Creek Rd and Sheep Creek Rd, reflects a landscape primarily utilized for cattle ranching and wilderness conservation. This modern topographic study illustrates the persistence of traditional desert access points and the protection of critical riparian corridors within Idaho's vast public lands.
