These industrial points are connected by a series of primitive routes labeled as Jeep Trail and Trail, indicating the difficulty of travel through the canyons.

The presence of numerous stock tanks and wells like Tully Well, Carpenter Well, and the Yellow Jacket Dam underscores the critical importance of water rights in Pima County. Small markers of human history are found at the Cem near Wilbur Canyon and a site of Ruins further south, providing evidence of earlier ranching or mining habitations that had largely faded by the time of this 1974-1975 field survey.
