Window Mtn and the distinct geologic opening known as The Window anchor the northern landscape of this Pima County quadrangle. The terrain here is defined by broad desert valleys and alluvial drainage patterns, most notably Gu Achi Wash and Anegam Wash, which provide the primary hydrological structure for the region. These seasonal watercourses dictate the placement of transportation routes and settlements in the arid environment.
