The Shoshone National Forest dominates this section of Park County, where the Absaroka Range provides a dramatic backdrop to a landscape defined by significant elevation changes. At the heart of the area, the Clarks Fork Yellowstone River carves through the Clarks Fork Canyon, fed by numerous tributaries such as Crandall Cr and Corral Creek. To the south, the terrain rises toward the summit of Windy Mtn and the steep walls of Cathedral Cliffs.
