North Salem and the surrounding rural landscapes of Linn and Sullivan Counties are defined by a network of small creeks and family cemeteries that reflect generations of Missouri farming history. The terrain is divided by the north-south flow of E Yellow Cr and Winigan Cr, which carve through the land between the small settlements of Winigan and Sedgwick.
