Witcher Reservoir serves as a focal point in this high-plains landscape, situated just south of the boundary between Custer County and Powder River County. The area is defined by a dense network of seasonal drainages, notably Mizpah Creek and its many tributaries including Horse Cr and Road Cr. The terrain reveals a remote ranching environment where travel is dictated by routes like Upper Mizpah Rd, which follows the primary north-south creek valley. In the southern portion of the survey, the land is carved by Big Bobcat Cr and Little Bobcat Cr, while Cross-S Rd provides one of the few improved access points across the rolling topography. This survey provides a clear view of the water sources and section lines that have organized land use in this part of Montana for generations.
