Waccasassa Reefs and the sprawling Withlacoochee Reefs dominate this coastal survey along the boundary of Levy and Citrus counties. The landscape is a complex amphibious network of mangrove points and tidal creeks where the Gulf Of Mexico meets the Florida mainland. Inland from South Mangrove Point and Turtle Creek Point, the terrain is defined by a labyrinth of water bodies including Turtle Creek Bay, Lows Bay, and Withlacoochee Bay.
