Woodruff occupies the lower right quadrant of this terrain, situated where Woodruff Cr and Genes Cr flow toward the meandering Bear River. This agricultural landscape is defined by a sophisticated water management network, including the Randolph Woodruff Canal, Kennedy Ditch, and Crawford-Thompson Canal, which draw from the river and various hollows to sustain the valley. High ground rises to the west and northeast, anchored by Limestone Peak and the Crawford Mountains. Local history is anchored by the Woodruff Cem and the Eastman Family Cem located near the town center. Numerous water storage sites like Little Long Hill Reservoir and Higgins Hollow Reservoir dot the foothills, while the grid of roads such as Monte Cristo Rd and Schultheiss Ln provide access to the surrounding Woodruff Pastures.
