Yellow Hill and Tocito Dome define the high desert topography of the Shiprock Agency region in this 2017 survey. The landscape is marked by a network of drainage features, primarily Pajarito Cr and the ominously named Dead Mans Wash, which cut through the arid terrain. Human movement across the high plateau is dictated by several service routes, including Indian Svc Rte 5010 and Indian Svc Rte 5014, which connect various sections of the Navajo Nation.
