About this map

Apostle Islands National Lakeshore dominates this coastal landscape, showcasing a series of landforms along the southern reaches of Lake Superior. The map details the northern tip of the Bayfield Peninsula, where Point Detour and Raspberry Point overlook the cold waters of Eagle Bay and Raspberry Bay. Offshore, York Island and Raspberry Island stand as protected natural features, while to the east, the western edge of Oak Island rises above the West Channel. A network of rural roads, including Peterson Mill Rd and Blueberry Rd, provides access to the interior, where the Raspberry River and Red Cliff Cr drain toward the coast. The presence of the Petit Cache Airport near the shoreline suggests a localized hub for regional aviation, situated just north of Red Cliff Bay.
