The San Bernardino National Forest dominates the northern landscape, where the San Bernardino Mountains rise above the expanding suburban reaches of Yucaipa and Redlands. This area is defined by its complex network of water management, visible through the Bear Valley High Line Aqueduct, the N Fork Canal, and the historic irrigation channel known as The Zanja. Between the steep terrain of the Crafton Hills and the residential growth of Dunlap Acres, the map traces the intersection of modern infrastructure and the older pathways of Mountain Home Village.
