Los Padres National Forest contains the high-elevation terrain of eastern Ventura County, where significant peaks and drainages define the landscape. The summit of Alamo Mtn dominates the central portion of this sheet, serving as a hub for various seasonal watercourses including Snowy Cr and Alamo Cr. To the north and south, the topography transitions into notable flats and canyons, such as Gleason Flat and Long Dave Valley, which offer a stark contrast to the surrounding steep ridges of Bear Mtn and Sewart Mtn.
