Anderson Ranch Dam controls the flow of the S Fork Boise River in this high-elevation section of the Boise National Forest. The map documents the relationship between the massive reservoir and the surrounding uplands, including the small settlement at Reclamation Village and the community of Dixie. The terrain is defined by dramatic transitions, from the flat reaches of Little Camas Prairie to the soaring heights of Granite Mtn and the Danskin Mountains to the southwest.
