Millers Creek Reservoir dominates the western reaches of this landscape on the border of North Texas and the Rolling Plains. The topography is defined by the winding drainages of Millers Cr, Dutch Cr, and the extensive Louse Run system, which carve through the terrain as they move toward the Brazos River in the northeast. This area remains largely defined by its natural hydrology and the infrastructure of rural life, with a network of county roads like Co RD 451 and Higgins Rd providing access to the interior ranchlands.
