Centennial Valley anchors the southern portion of this landscape, where the Red Rock River meanders through a broad basin at the foot of high Montana divides. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, rising from the valley floor toward the prominent summit of Antelope Peak and the nearby Lone Butte. These heights mark the transition into the Beaverhead National Forest, which covers the northern reaches of the quadrangle.
