2002 Map of Ashnola Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 2006

About this map

Ashnola Mountain and the high ridges of the North Cascades define this rugged corner of the Pasayten Wilderness along the international border. In this 2002 update of topography originally compiled in 1968, the land is marked by deep glacial valleys and alpine lakes, including the distinctive Hidden Lakes chain—Big Hidden Lake, Middle Hidden Lake, and First Hidden Lake. The terrain is managed within the Okanogan National Forest, where the Boundary Trail traces a path across high elevations like Bunker Hill and near Peeve Pass. A complex network of drainage systems, such as the East Fork Pasayten River and Lost River, illustrates the hydrologic character of the Okanogan County backcountry just south of the Canada-United States border.
