The Helena National Forest and Deerlodge National Forest meet in this 2017 survey of Powell County, Montana. The terrain is defined by an intricate network of drainages, most notably the several branches of Spotted Dog Cr, including the North, Middle, West, and S Fork Spotted Dog Cr. This watershed creates a complex topography of high ridges and deep valleys, punctuated by landmarks like Rocker Gulch in the southern portion of the quadrangle.
