The boundary between Taylor and Runnels Counties divides this central Texas landscape, where high mesas rise abruptly from the surrounding plains. To the southwest, Moro Mtn and Table Mtn create a significant topographic profile, separated from the prominent Bald Knob by the natural pass of Table Gap. These formations dominate the horizon above a network of seasonal drainages, including Elm Cr and Buffalo Cr, which feed into local catchments like Billups Lake.
