Washburn Mountains and the White Oak Mountains dominate this 2017 survey area at the meeting of Logan, Franklin, and Sebastian counties. The terrain is defined by a series of narrow ridges and passes, notably the Backbone Narrows, Rattlesnake Narrows, and Bradshaw Narrows, which dictate the placement of rural roads like Old Hwy 10. These natural corridors have historically funneled travel between the small settlements of Washburn and Barber.
