The tidal landscape of Willapa Bay dominates this coastal Pacific County study, where small maritime settlements and intricate water channels define the geography. On the northern peninsula, Tokeland is a primary focal point, anchored by the Tokeland Marina and the low-lying Toke Point. Across the water to the east, the historic site of Bruceport sits along the shoreline near Stony Point, while further south, the community of Bay Center occupies a distinct peninsula bounded by Goose Point and the Bay Center Channel.

Navigation through the bay is marked by complex shoals and islands, including Pine Island, Kindred Island, and the Snag Islands. The interior terrain is drained by several watercourses such as the Cedar River and Hansen Cr, which flow through the forested uplands of T14N R10W.
