The International Boundary defines the northern edge of this high plains landscape, where the Canadian border meets Toole County, Montana. The terrain is characterized by a complex network of seasonal drainage channels, including the eponymous Beaupre Coulee and Police Coulee. These coulees, along with Certain Coulee and O'Laughlin Coulee, carve through the rolling elevation near the Sweetgrass Hills Road. A few notable water features like Perkins Lake and Kicking Horse Cr punctuate the arid environment.
