Becky Peak rises as the central landmark of this terrain, anchoring the eastern slopes of the Schell Creek Range. This landscape is defined by its arid hydrology, where numerous named springs such as Camp Spring, Mustang Spring, and Dolans Trap Spring emerge from the high-desert mountain flanks. These vital water sources historically dictated movement and land use across the Great Basin. To the east, the topography transitions into the broad expanse of Spring Valley, where Spring Valley Cr and Middle Cr drain from the heights. This map documents the complex drainage systems of the region, from the deep incisions of Box Canyon and Dolans Trap Canyon to the southern reaches of Dry Canyon and Spring Gulch.
