This 1982 provisional survey captures the intersection of desert basin and high-elevation springs, illustrating how water dictated the placement of small-scale developments like the J Heroid Ranch. Human activity is concentrated along the mountain base, with evidence of resource extraction at several Borrow Pit sites.
