Piato Vaya sits at the base of the dramatic peaks that define the eastern Pisinemo District. This landscape is dominated by the Quijotoa Mountains, where the prominent height of Ben Nevis Mountain towers over the surrounding basin. The terrain transitions from the high, craggy elevations of Black Butte and the Piato Vaya Pass into the broad, drainage-carved expanse of the Quijotoa Valley.
