Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area dominates the central landscape of this 2017 survey, where the Spokane River Arm meets the border of Stevens and Lincoln counties. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, notably the steep descent into Mill Canyon and Harker Canyon south of the water. To the north, the elevation rises toward Cayuse Mtn and the namesake Benjamin Lake.
