Boise National Forest encompasses the high country of Valley County in this topographical study, defined by the drainage systems of the Deadwood River and E Fork Deadwood River. The landscape is a network of peaks and high meadows, anchored by Bernard Mtn and Pilgrim Mtn in the north and Topnotch in the south. These summits overlook diverse riparian zones, including Crane Meadow and the expansive Bearskin Meadows.
