About this map

The western shoreline of Lower Red Lake dominates the eastern edge of this landscape, where the waters meet a low-lying expanse defined by wetlands and narrow access routes. This area of northern Minnesota, situated along the border of Beltrami and Clearwater counties, is characterized by its hydrological network, most notably the Red Lake River which winds through the northern sections of the terrain. The landscape is largely undeveloped, with a grid of rural tracks like River Rd and Farm Station Rd providing the primary transit through the marshes. To the south, Sandy Lake sits tucked near the lake shore, surrounded by the shifting elevations of the t151n r36w and t151n r37w townships. Local transit is concentrated along Red Lake River Trl and various reservation highways, including Resvn Hwy 47 and Resvn Hwy 31, which connect the remote interior points to the larger lakefront.
