The Boise National Forest provides the setting for this detailed survey of central Idaho's high-country drainages. The landscape is defined by the Crooked River and its numerous tributaries, including Big Owl Creek and Little Owl Creek. This 2017 study illustrates the modern configuration of Forest Service access roads and trails, such as Kempner Rd, Lower Pike, and the Crooked Pike Loop, which serve the timber and recreation interests of the region.
