Kevinjik Creek winds through the southeastern corner of this interior landscape, marking one of the few distinct hydrographic features in an area defined by extensive elevation changes. The land is organized by the Public Land Survey System, spanning portions of t24n r25e, t24n r26e, t23n r25e, t23n r26e, t22n r25e, and t22n r26e. This 2018 survey documents the remote terrain of the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, showing a network of high ridges and deep valleys characteristic of the northern wilderness. The absence of roads or permanent structures reflects the extreme isolation of this portion of the Black River region, where the natural drainage of Kevinjik Creek provides the primary orientation for the surrounding topography.
