About this map

The Manistee National Forest covers much of this northern Michigan landscape, where the Manistee Wild and Scenic River and Bear Creek Wild and Scenic River converge. The settlement of Kaleva anchors the northern portion of the map, while the community of Brethren is situated to the south, near the junction of several key local roads including Coates Hwy and River Rd. These settlements are surrounded by numerous water features such as Chief Lake, Lake Elinor, and the intricate wetlands of Sergeant Bayou and Browns Bayou.
