About this map

Redbank Creek and its many tributaries, including North Fork Redbank Creek and Sandy Lick Creek, converge near the borough of Brookville, the central hub of this Jefferson County landscape. The town plan is anchored by the Jefferson County Courthouse and a dense network of local streets such as Pennsylvania Ave and E Main St. Local history and genealogy are well-represented by a high concentration of burial grounds, ranging from the Old Brookville Cem near the town center to the Saint Marys Catholic Cem Original and the more modern Saint Marys Immaculate Conception Cem New to the south. Moving outward from the valley, smaller settlements like Alaska, Pinecreek, and Port Barnett dot the roads, while the northern uplands around Richardsville and Howe are defined by family-named landmarks and rural cemeteries such as Moorhead Cem and Richardsville Baptist Cem.
