These systems feed into Murray Reservoir and Graham Reservoir No 1, supporting the isolated agricultural outposts in the valleys.

Evidence of seasonal ranching and backcountry transit appears at Perry Ranch and the open flats of Lambs Meadow. The terrain is deeply carved by the forks of the Smiths Fork, including the West Fork and East Fork, which gather runoff from numerous seasonal creeks like Yellow Hollow Creek and Archie Creek.
