The landscape is characterized by steep-walled canyons and upland plateaus, where human presence is marked by a handful of functional agricultural landmarks. A Grain Elevator stands near the northern edge, while a lonely Cemetery accessible by Cemetery Rd sits on the eastern heights.

Evidence of much earlier habitation and land use is preserved in the form of Pictographs found near North Fork, alongside a Corral and various Cistern points that suggest a reliance on seasonal Spring water. The complex topography includes features such as the Jumpoff and the converging waters of Butte Creek, Yantis Canyon, and Zachary Canyon, reflecting a rugged environment where Jeep Trails provide the primary means of navigating the backcountry.
