Buffalo Ranch serves as a lone human waypoint within the vast, arid expanses of the Kaibab National Forest on the high Kaibab Plateau. The landscape is defined by its verticality, where the flat plateau surface is abruptly severed by deep incisions like Wildcat Canyon and Buck Farm Canyon. These drainages lead toward the eastern edge of the map, where the terrain drops precipitously into Marble Canyon and the Colorado River.
