Bull Camp Butte anchors the southern landscape of this remote Idaho quadrangle, overlooking a high-desert environment defined by dramatic elevation changes and seasonal water sources. The South Fork Owyhee Wild and Scenic River carves through the southwestern corner, protected within the broader Owyhee River Wilderness. This area represents a preserved slice of the Great Basin, where the river's path is the primary geological force. To the north, the arid expanse of the Y P Desert transitions into several catchment basins. Resource management for ranching or wildlife is evident through named features like Little Horse Basin Reservoir and West Horse Basin Reservoir, which provide rare water points in the surrounding Horse Basin.
