Burro Gap serves as the focal point for this 2011 survey, marking a distinct natural pass in the Pima County desert. The landscape is defined by its arid hydrography, specifically the wandering course of Tenmile Wash, which meanders across the central terrain before intersecting with the narrow corridor of Pipeline Rd. Further south, the intermittent drainage of Sikort Chuapo Wash cuts across the lower portion of the map. This study documents the area's minimal human footprint, where infrastructure is limited to primitive desert tracks and a significant utility line, highlighting the sparse settlement patterns typical of this portion of southern Arizona.
