Amistad National Recreation Area dominates the southern landscape of this West Texas quadrangle, where the high desert meets the sprawling waters of Walk Lake. The terrain is defined by deep limestone canyons and seasonal drainages, most notably California Cr and Evans Cr, which carve their way through the arid plateau toward the reservoir. Human settlement is concentrated in the residential development of Castle Canyon Estate, characterized by a grid of streets including Frontier Blvd and Wildwest Dr.
