Camp Nelson and the high-elevation community of Sequoia Crest occupy the heart of the Sequoia National Forest in this southern Sierra Nevada region. The map captures a landscape defined by dramatic changes in elevation, transitioning from the canyon of the S Fork Middle Fork Tule River up to prominent landmarks like Jordan Peak. A network of Forest Service routes, such as Forest Rte 20S53 and Forest Rte 21S50, provides access to remote sub-alpine basins including Coffee Mill Meadow and Junction Meadow.
