Mauvais Coulee meanders through the heart of this Towner County landscape, part of a complex hydrologic system that drains into the northern reaches of Lake Alice. The terrain is defined by its numerous small wetlands and prairie potholes, a characteristic signature of the drift prairie. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, Big Coulee joins the broader drainage basin, illustrating the region's low-relief topography and natural water storage patterns. Human infrastructure is primarily organized around a rigid grid of rural roads, including Egeland Rd and various numbered avenues such as 73rd Ave NE. One of the few non-agricultural landmarks is the Anderson Private Airport, situated in the southeastern corner near the intersection of 67th St NE and 75th Ave NE.
