The Green River carves a path through some of northwestern Colorado’s most dramatic topography, entering the Canyon of Lodore at the iconic Gates of Lodore. This 2019 survey documents the river’s descent through the heart of Dinosaur National Monument, marking treacherous river features such as Upper Disaster Falls and Lower Disaster Falls. The landscape is defined by massive formations like Offield Mtn and the sweeping Green River Slope, which drop away from high plateaus into the river corridor.
