Captain Point rises as a central landmark in this high-elevation landscape where the boundaries of King, Snohomish, and Chelan counties converge. The 2014 survey documents a wilderness dominated by the Wenatchee National Forest and Snoqualmie National Forest, defined by steep drainages and numerous glacial tarns. The Rapid River and its North Fork carve through the center of the sheet, fed by alpine water bodies including Scrabble Lake, Grizzly Lake, and the remote Peach Lake.
