Cedar Butte and Spring Butte rise from this high-plains landscape in Adams County, anchoring a terrain defined by the winding course of Cedar Creek. The drainage of Duck Creek cuts through the south-central portion of the quadrangle, flowing toward the southern border where North Lemmon Lake is held by the North Lemon Lake Dam. This 2011 survey reflects the enduring grid of the section-line road system, including routes such as 22nd St NE and 4th Ave NE, which connect the isolated farmsteads and agricultural tracts of the region.
