Lambert stands at a central junction where Saints Delight Rd cuts through the lowlands of the Georgetown and Berkeley county line. The landscape is defined by the complex hydrology of the Santee River and the sprawling Santee Swamp, where the river splits at The Cutoff and encircles Wadmacon Island. This area, much of which is protected within the Francis Marion National Forest, preserves a wilderness character dominated by water features like Guilliard Lake and Foot Log Slough.
