Cibecue Peak rises over a complex system of drainages and seasonal water sources in Gila County. The central feature is the winding course of Cibecue Creek, which flows through its eponymous Cibecue Canyon, joined by tributaries from Indian Canyon and Fox Canyon. This 2014 survey documents a landscape defined by ranching and resource management, evidenced by the numerous named stock tanks and springs distributed across the townships.
